oh the weather outside is frightful

so in the past 24 hours i have slept through a hurricane and had my first polish snow. sounds super crazy to me!

here are some pictures that jessica took at the university the other day. we went prayer walking. if you wouldn't mind saying a prayer for the people that walk past these things everyday that the LORD will start to work in their lives. also that the LORD would use jessica and i in any way to reach this campus.

this is a picture of what i would think of that gate of the university.

this lake backs right up to the univeristy. really pretty. we met some older man there walking his dog and he tried talking to us but you know, the langauge barrier. i kind of got that he was tellins us that there was this rare bird on the lake...random, i know!

okay so this is a scene from our language class yesterday. these are jessica's words, i just copied and pasted them from her blog to mine:
"And now, I leave you with a moment from our language class yesterday with our teacher Milosc (which is pronounced Meewosh, with a long o ):
Background: he's explaining the words for crosswalk and telling us how the green man on the sign means walk, the red man means don't walk; he then proceeds to inform us that we may also hear a beap to alert the blind, at which point Amber sits up straight, with a look of utter shock and "where in the world are we?!?!?!" on her face and declares, and I quote:

"They let blind people drive here?!?!?!?!?!?!"

after which proceeded many minutes of uncontrollable giggling. Milosc is thrilled to have us as his students. Pray for Milosc."

yes, go ahead and make fun of me. i can take it...

in the words of dale earnhardt jr. "it ain't been a bed of roses."
