somethings fishy....

so recently, i have felt the need to eat fish. now many of you probably do not know, but i am not much of a fish eater. about a month ago, i went to visit a home and they served us fish. i ate it...probably more bone than fish, but i ate it. it wasn't bad, so why not try to eat more. when we went to gdansk for the weekend, i tried more. again, i can't seem to get to away from the bones. apparently,(me with my little fish knowledge) trout is served like you just pulled it from the water with the head, teeth, tail, bones and all. who knew? so we documented. we have named the fish; phil the fish.

so here is phil in all his glory.

again, the teeth. isn't anyone else a little creeped out by this?

here i am with patsy watching intently as she is teaching me to de-bone my fish. it was some work.

jessica decided that i still had a lot of meat on phil, so she took him and ripped him apart. all in love.

i have now decided that i might wait until i get back to the states to try fish. i really want to like it, but i am not sure that this is the place. only time will tell.

Ok, I like fish, but no way would I eat that. My first question when I ask about fish is, "Does it taste fishy?" Because who wants fish that taste like fish? I also don't want to eat anything that looks too fishy! You'll have to come visit and try some Lake Erie perch or walleye. Bread it, deep fry or bake it, then throw on some tartar sauce, or ketchup, or hot sauce, and you've got some good eatin'!!

First of all....I think you should get the recipe and fix that for your Mom when she comes to visit. Looks like something she would enjoy. (yuck) Second, the only good fish is a battered and deep-fried fish. Just like Papa makes it. You look beautiful, Amber. :)
