i can tell that...

...we are going to be friends.

so recently i have really been missing my friends and a social life.  i have missed hanging out, calling each other, laughing, trips to springfield, dancing (or maybe that was just me while everyone else laughed), traveling...and the list could go on and on.  so i thought that i would post a few pictures of the days gone by.

this photo was captured when i was home in the states for Christmas.  a few of my friends came up to spend a day or so with me and it was so enjoyable!

this was new years eve a few years back with my friends.  some quality people right here.  oh how life has changed over the years.

in college the three of us were always painting.  and we loved painting together listening to dave barnes.  oh i miss the triple a's.  the memories of going to chicago: oprah and bono stake out, mega bus, and the bean.

BUT i am so thankful for friends here!  here is our friend izabela who is just a wonderful friend to jessica and i.  and you can catch my partner in crime but you can only see her one eye and half of a mouth!

and the Lord really had His hand in bringing our team together.  it has been wonderful to have them as my family over the past year.(alethea was not here yet when this picture was taken so she is here now too.)

but i also miss my real family.  even through memory loss, garage sales, making our own thanksgivings traditions in florida, pinata's at easter while roasting hot dogs over a fire, and many trips to silver dollar city.  i love them all.

so i thought i would share some of my feelings over the past few days.  i miss you all and thankful for the folks that are here with me.

That reminds me of the old Girl Scout song: Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other's gold.
