my birthday weekend jessica and i went to krakow, poland. it involved an overnight train and arriving in krakow at 6:30AM, but it was totally worth being able to spend time with friends. we knew that at the end of the trip, goodbyes would be said as this is the last time that i will see these girls on this side of the world and i am not sure when i will see them again. but their friendship means the world to me...these truly are my sisters.

natalie, myself, and jessica. we have known natalie for the past two years and have gone every step of the journey together. she is living in prague working at our regional office.

it was a gorgeous day so we took the frisbee and tossed it around a bit.

natalie, myself, and sarah. sarah lives in krakow and is a wonderful hostess! she planned every detail of my birthday...everything from dr. pepper to an in-home-movie-theater!

some how we got the four of us in a picture together. loved every moment of this day!

we skipped the birthday cake and went straight for the cookie dough ice cream! and whatever else sarah had in her cabinets!
but really these girls are amazing and i am so blessed to know them. and i have seen the Lord's light shining through each of them. i thank God for their friendships.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful and memorable birthday. I heard about your interesting train rides! As we told Jessica, it will be a lot easier to stay in touch with these outstanding women back in the states.
