as snug as a slug in...

...a salad. no lie here folks. we have seen it all.

so lets recap.

today jessica and i were invited to a school to speak about thanksgiving. so great. the kids did a few performances, they had projects that we voted on, and there were quizzes that students had to take.

well it came time for lunch. the lady who invited us took us to the cafeteria to get some food. we were served salad, potatoes, and a piece of meat. i noticed something brown in jessica's salad and just assumed that it was a black-eyed pea or burned potatoes or something along that line.

oh but my surprise to see jessica clump all of her salad together to cover up the brown. it was a SLUG!

so we continued eating(reluctantly mind you). a few minutes into the meal, i saw a little movement from our new friend on jessica's plate. he was still alive! it was disgusting! i had to ask jessica to move her salad about again to cover up the little guy. it was all we could do to continue eating.

but we got it down. without the slug.
