"my lips hurt real bad"

so here is a quote from the famous napoleon dynamite.

but i can now relate to the poor guy.

today jessica and i went to the dentist. it was a trip. (all of what happened to me in the next few sentences also happened to jessica.)

she covered me in a bib because it would be "messy." gave me eye protection. she had on a face mask.

when it was done she handed me a mirror and told me i needed to clean up a bit. i looked at myself and was horrified! it looked like i had either been dry-walling all day or dusting. but there was a white powder/film all over me!

we think that we have had a chemical burn on our lips. and it hurts...real bad! i don't think any amount of chap-stick will help this one out.
