polska

so the european soccer tournament is currently going on, and poland isn't the greatest! but there is still pride for poland!
near my apartment block, there was a tent sent up for people come together and watch the game. the tent served beverages and had a big screen with bleachers. we watched from a distance and didn't get in the middle of it all, but it was still exhilarating! in the first game poland played germany and lost 2-0. in the second game they tied with austria, 1-1. but tell me this...how do you tie in soccer? i just don't get it.

so here is a little film of what we experienced. now, i am going to warn you that i am not the best at filming, i didn't go to school for that. but the people were wild. you can hear them cheering(faintly, pay attention!) in the back ground.

poland plays croatia this evening. we will see but i know that croatia is better than poland. so if you read this in time, wear your red and white!

I enjoyed that, Amber. After I talked to Jessica I found the game on ESPN2. What a heart breaker. Knowing that you girls were watching the same thing at the same time made me feel a little connected. Jessica and I always says it's like Feivel, although I never watched all of that because I knew I'd end up crying. It's great that you're both getting to see different aspects of the Polish culture. Now I'll have to see how they do in the Olympics. I hope they don't beat the Dream Team, though. That might be embarrassing. I'm waiting for the blogs from Hel. Take care.
